Hello Everyone!
Happy to be back after a bit. Sorry it’s been so long. I’ve been recuperating from a bad accident! It’s actually taken a couple of years to get where I am today! I feel stronger and more confident to get back into crafting and CARD making! Yes, I have made my First Shaker Card and actually blogged! Yay Me!
This fishy shaker card was so much fun to make with Lawn Fawn‘s New Fintastic Stamp and die set. Just love it so much! Yes, I’m a fishy-type of person…love Fish!
I created a ‘seek and find’ sort of toy for my Grandson’s 3rd birthday, so he can move the card around and find his name bits and some more pretty fish.
Now, I started out using my Zig Real Brush Markers to water color all the fish. Then, I used Distress inks to paint my background.
Using Lawn Fawn‘s stitched Cloud border dies I did some inlay for the background. I also, used Lawn Fawn Letter dies and cut them out of contact paper to make a resist for my water color background, works GREAT!
In addition, I used those same dies and flipped them over to make more dimension on the background…do you see those extra subtle waves?
I’m just getting back into the swing of things, after a long recuperation, so you will see many other cards posted, most everyday here. Please, come back and see them and thank you for your comment and any questions you may have. If there’s enough interest in the techniques I used, I will consider making videos. ox
Hugs and Blessings,
