Hi Everyone!
Today, I’m delighted to share with you my ‘Watercolor’ on Canvas Framed Paper Art!
And you might be surprised to know everything is created with Paper and my Silhouette Cameo.
Grab your favorite cup of slurp, sit back and enjoy!
Ok, let’s get started!
First, I located and cut all my pieces I needed for the paper frame using SVGCuts ‘Santa’s Helpful Elves’ SVG Kit.
Then, I used my Jillibean Stamp ‘A basket full of Wishes’, from Unity Stamps and stamped it on Bazzill white cardstock and scanned it.
I then brought the stamped image into my Silhouette Studio software and sized it to 4×6 photo size [the size needed for inside my paper frame].
I placed a 8.5×11″ piece of canvas paper into my printer and it printed the ‘watercolored flowers’ [I colored them with the ‘fill’ in the software] and created the bicycle with the software’s ‘sketch’ technique <– Love this effect!
After it printed, I placed the canvas paper sheet onto my Silhouette’s mat and placed it back into the machine and used Silhouette’s Sketch Pen and my machine drew it!
Once my cutting machine was finished drawing the bicycle, I peeled off the backing from the canvas paper and centered it inside the base of the frame.
I like how the background paper shows through the canvas creating some dimension and interest.
From here, I added the white dot side panels to the frame base [you can add a touch of ink to the edges of your side panels, too].
Then, I adhered the sides of the frame base and started constructing the frame using a tacky glue on all sides.
Each of the Frame’s four-sides are adhered together with tacky glue and looks like this.
Next, I adhered the frame base into the frame…just plop it in! It fits perfectly! Pay a little more attention to the corners, making sure they are all even and sqaured up nicely.
Flip the Frame over with the frame base inside and you see the backside of both.
Then, to finish up just adhere the back, embellish as desired and you’re Finished!
I used Trendy Twine to tie accent the frame and embellishments…Fun!
Now, just hang it up and you have a whimsical piece of paperART sure to be a conversation piece!
I used My Mind’s Eye ‘Follow Your Heart’ Collection available online at Fotobella.com!
All in the Details:
I’m really happy with the way it turned out and it hangs in my studio. It was super EASY and FUN project!
